Major tournaments like the Indian Premier League (IPL) have shifted the sport's developmental pathway from slow-burning domestic circuits to fast-paced proving grounds.In the past few years, numerous budding names, like Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, have had the opportunity to reach the highest stage thanks to their explosive playing style.At the same time, while many have impressed, only a handful have lived up to their name. He reached his maiden T20 ton at a strike rate of 196.15, becoming the youngest centurion in the league's history.APL- Hazratullah Zazai (20Y 200D)On October 9, 2018, Afghan opener Hazratullah Zazai scored a blistering 124 runs off 55 balls for Kabul Zwanan against the Nangarhar Leopards in the inaugural season of the Afghanistan Premier League (APL).Born on March 23, 1998, Zazai achieved this historic milestone at exactly 20 years and 200 days old, securing his place as the first-ever centurion in APL history.CLT20- Quinton de Kock (20Y 286D)South African batter Quinton de Kock holds the record as the youngest century-maker in Champions League T20 (CLT20) history, smashing a brilliant 109* at exactly 20 years and 286 days old.He achieved this historic milestone on September 29, 2013, while playing for the Highveld Lions against the Otago Volts at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.The Hundred- Will Smeed (20Y 288D)In August 2022, Will Smeed became the first player to score a century in The Hundred after smashing an unbeaten 101 for Birmingham Phoenix against Southern Brave at Edgbaston.The 20-year-old’s sparkling ton came from just 49 balls, featuring eight fours and six sixes.Smeed’s extraordinary knock made him the youngest to score a hundred in all of the tournament editions.CPL- Maaz Sadaqat (21Y 124D)On September 17, 2026, Maaz Sadaqat became the youngest centurion in Caribbean Premier League (CPL) history at 21, producing a stunning 112 at the top of the order that took the game away from the Tridents from the start.The Pakistan batter’s knock came at the perfect time during the CPL 2026 Eliminator between Jamaica Kingsmen and Barbados Tridents. His efforts helped Kingsmen secure a nine-wicket victory at the Kensington Oval, Barbados.BBL- Travis Head (22Y 2D)A 22-year-old Travis Head scored a dazzling century in the 2015-16 Big Bash League, which led Adelaide Strikers to a nail-biting five-wicket victory over Sydney Sixers.Head smashed a remarkable nine sixes on his way to an unbeaten 101 off 53 balls. PSL- Hasan Nawaz (22Y 259D)During the Pakistan Super League 2025, a young Hasan Nawaz hit a blistering century off just 45 deliveries.In the same match, Rilee Rossouw also scored a century, marking the first time in the tournament that two batters scored a century in the same innings.LPL- Avishka Fernando (23Y 260D)On December 21, 2021, Sri Lankan batter Avishka Fernando smashed his maiden T20 century during the Lanka Premier League (LPL).He scored 100 off 64 balls for the Jaffna Kings against the Dambulla Giants in Qualifier 2.
