Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is not just a kid. He is someone who will keep taking the stairs to reach new heights, and his IPL journey is just the beginning.
Now aged 15, Sooryavanshi began IPL 2026 just where he left last season. With the help of five sixes and four fours, the RR opener made 52 off just 17 deliveries.
Sooryavanshi notched up his half-century in 15 balls, something even superstars across different decades failed to achieve. No wonder he kept on breaking records once again during Rajasthan Royals’ IPL 2026 match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Guwahati.

RR introduced Sooryavanshi during the second half of IPL 2025, and the 14-year-old (back then) showed promise from the get-go.
In total, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi made 252 runs across seven IPL innings last season, that too at a strike rate of 206.56.
In particular, Sooryavanshi was at his very best against Gujarat Titans on April 28. There, he smashed 101 off just 38 deliveries, showing the world that he was there to stay.
Apart from that, Sooryavanshi played two explosive cameos in IPL last season, which included a 15-ball 40 against Punjab Kings and a 33-ball 57 against Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
