A new chapter has begun for India's T20I team. The BCCI selection committee, led by Ajit Agarkar, has announced the squads for the upcoming T20I series against Ireland and England, as well as for the Asian Games.
The biggest talking point is the appointment of Shreyas Iyer as India’s new T20I captain. Tilak Varma has been named vice-captain.
The selectors have rewarded several players for their impressive performances in IPL 2026.
Young sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has earned a place in all three squads, while players like Nitish Reddy, Ravi Bishnoi, Mohammed Siraj and Prince Yadav have also been included.
Notably, former T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav has been left out along with Hardik Pandya, Kuldeep Yadav and Rinku Singh.
