RCB-0, SRH-3, CSK? IPL Team-Wise Players In India T20I Squad For Ireland, England

A new chapter has begun for India's T20I team. The BCCI selection committee, led by Ajit Agarkar, has announced the squads for the upcoming T20I series against Ireland and England, as well as for the Asian Games.

The biggest talking point is the appointment of Shreyas Iyer as India’s new T20I captain. Tilak Varma has been named vice-captain.

The selectors have rewarded several players for their impressive performances in IPL 2026. 

Young sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has earned a place in all three squads, while players like Nitish Reddy, Ravi Bishnoi, Mohammed Siraj and Prince Yadav have also been included.

Notably, former T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav has been left out along with Hardik Pandya, Kuldeep Yadav and Rinku Singh.

Here is a look at the IPL franchise-wise representation in India's squad for the Ireland and England T20I series.

Sunrisers Hyderabad - 3 players

Abhishek Sharma

Abhishek Sharma enjoyed a remarkable IPL 2026 season. The explosive opener scored 563 runs in 15 matches at an outstanding strike rate of 204.72.

Ishan Kishan

Ishan Kishan continued to impress with his aggressive batting at the top of the order in the IPL 2026. The star player made 602 runs in 15 innings at a strike-rate of 182.42 and an average of 40.13. 

Prior to IPL, he also showed good form in the T20 World Cup 2026 and SMAT Elite T20 2026. Playing for Jharkhand in 10 innings, he made 517 runs at a strike-rate of 197.33. 

Nitish Reddy

Nitish Reddy had another productive season with both bat and ball in IPL 2026. The young all-rounder showed maturity in crucial situations and has been rewarded with a place in the India's squad.

Punjab Kings (2 Players)

Shreyas Iyer

Shreyas Iyer led Punjab Kings from the front and also impressed with his batting consistency. His leadership qualities and experience have earned him the responsibility of captaining India’s T20I side.

In IPL 2026, he played in 13 innings and made 498 runs at a strike-rate of 168.81.

Arshdeep Singh

Arshdeep Singh remains one of India's most reliable T20 bowlers. His ability to bowl in both the powerplay and death overs will make him a crucial player for India in the T20I series against Ireland and England.

Gujarat Titans (2 players)

Washington Sundar

Washington Sundar’s all-round skills continue to make him an important player. In IPL 2026, he played for GT and scored 377 runs in 16 innings at a strike rate of 150.20. With the ball, he took 1 wicket in 5 innings.

Mohammed Siraj

Mohammed Siraj's pace and aggression were on display throughout IPL 2026. His strong performances have helped him make a place in India's T20I setup. In IPL 2026, the ace pacer managed to take 19 wickets in 17 innings at an economy rate of 9.09.

Chennai Super Kings  (2 players)

Sanju Samson

Sanju Samson impressed with his consistent batting and attacking approach in IPL 2026. The wicketkeeper-batter contributed 477 runs in 14 innings at a strike rate of 165.63. In the T20 World Cup 2026, the CSK star player scored 321 runs at an average of 80.25 and a strike rate of 199.38 in 5 innings. 

Shivam Dube

Shivam Dube continued his powerful hitting in the middle order in IPL 2026. His ability to clear boundaries and contribute runs in the lower order was the visible in the cash-rich league. In 12 innings, the 32-year-old all-rounder made 270 runs at a strike rate of 158.82.

Rajasthan Royals (2 players)

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi

The 15-year-old sensation was one of the most talked-about players in the IPL 2026 season. Vaibhav’s fearless batting captured attention across the country, and his selection is a reward for his remarkable IPL campaign.

The player from Bihar, who won the Orange Cap, made 776 runs in 16 innings with a remarkable strike rate of 237.31.

Ravi Bishnoi

Ravi Bishnoi remains one of India's most promising leg-spinners. His wicket-taking ability in the middle overs can play a crucial role in the India's upcoming series against Ireland and England. 

In IPL 2026, the bowler played in 9 innings and took 11 wickets at an economy rate of 9.88.

Kolkata Knight Riders 

Varun Chakaravarthy

Varun Chakravarthy played for KKR in IPL 2026 after being retained for ₹12 crore. He showed great commitment by continuing to play despite injuries. In IPL 2026, he played 11 matches and took 11 wickets with an economy rate of 8.78.

Harshit Rana

Harshit Rana did not play in IPL 2026. The KKR fast bowler was ruled out of the entire season due to a ligament strain in his right knee.

However, he has been selected in India's squad for the upcoming Ireland and England series.

Tilak Varma

Tilak Varma has been made the vice-captain of India for the upcoming tour of Ireland and England. The left-handed batter has scored 359 runs in 14 innings at a strike rate of 145.93 and an average of 29.92.

Delhi Capitals 

Axar Patel

Despite having a disappointing IPL 2026 season, the DC captain Axar Patel has been included in the India's squad for Ireland and England because of his valuable experience.

In IPL 2026, the all-rounder managed just 173 runs in 11 innings at a strike rate of 131.06 and an average of 17.30. With the ball, he took 11 wickets in 13 innings at an economy rate of 8.18.

Lucknow Super Giants

Prince Yadav

Prince Yadav is one of the fresh faces in the India’s T20I squad. The young pacer impressed in IPL 2026 and now has an opportunity to prove himself at the international level.

In IPL 2026, he played in 14 innings and bagged 16 wickets at an economy rate of 8.83.

Interestingly, no player from RCB has been selected in the India's T20I squad for Ireland and England. On the other hand, Sunrisers Hyderabad lead the representation chart with three players.
