Bangladesh vs West Indies, 2009

Bangladesh's tour of the Carribean in 2009 was historic for multiple reasons. Firstly, they bagged their first away series victory. And secondly, it was the first instance when the Asian side was able to whitewash an opposition in the longest format.

Under Mashrafe Mortaza, a century from Tamim Iqbal brought them back late into the first Test at Kingstown. However, Mahmudullah's five-wicket haul helped the Tigers bowl out the Windies for 181 runs in the final innings, as they won by 95 runs.

In the next Test match at St George's, Shakib Al Hasan (5 for 70) turned the tables around with his wily spin bowling in the third innings. Later, in the low-scoring thriller, Shakib took them home with an unbeaten 96.

Bangladesh vs Zimbabwe, 2014/15

Ten years after winning their first Test series, Bangladesh proved too hot to handle for Zimbabwe at home. They won a low-scoring match at Mirpur in the first Test match, with half-centuries from Mominul Haque, Mahmudullah and skipper Mushfiqur Rahim. Later, Taijul Islam picked an eight-wicket haul.

In the following Test at Khulna, Tamim Iqbal and Shakib Al Hasan set the game with their respective centuries, while the all-rounder also bagged a ten-wicket haul in the match.

As they whitewashed the Chevrons, Tamim Iqbal scored another ton at Chattogram, while Mominul Haque and Imrul Hayes also scored centuries. Clinical performances from all bowlers helped Bangladesh win by 186 runs.

Later, Mehidy Hasan Miraz's four wickets led to Pakistan being toppled for 146 runs, and the openers chased down the mere target of 56 runs.

In the next game, Litton Das (138 runs), Mehidy Hasan (5 for 61) and Hasan Mahmud (5/43) were the heroes as they whitewashed the home team.

At Mirpur, Mushfiqur Rahim led the show with a century and a half-century in the match. Meanwhile, Taijul Islam had eight wickets in the match.

In the next game at Sylhet, this time it was Litton Das' return to rescue the Tigers from 116/6, taking the first innings total to 278 with a hundred. Nahid Rana and Taijul Islam restricted Pakistan to 232 runs in the next innings. Then Mushfiqur Rahim scored a mighty ton as the home team scored 390 runs.
