Bangladesh has produced several remarkable individual batting performances in first-class cricket over the years. Blessed with the talents of Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiqur Rahim and others, the country has witnessed some truly memorable displays of endurance, skill and run-scoring prowess.
As many as three Bangladesh players in history have registered scores of above 300 in a single innings so far. Here is a look at all three of those triple tons to analyse three of Bangladesh’s highest individual first-class scores.
3. Raqibul Hasan – 313* vs Sylhet Division, 2007
For two-and-a-half days straight between March 19 and March 21 back in 2007, then youngster Raqibul Hasan batted over 600 deliveries and occupied the crease for 11 hours under the scorching heat of Fatullah.
Batting at number four for the Barisal Division and arriving to the crease at 76-2 on Day 2 of the 2007 Ispahani Mirzapore Tea National Cricket League match, the cricketer remained unbeaten till the fourth evening to reach an epic 313* off 609 balls.

In the process, Raqibul became the first Bangladeshi cricketer in history to notch up a first-class triple ton, doing so at an age of just 19 against the Sylhet Division. The talented right-handed batter punched out 33 elegant boundaries in his marathon knock, and steered the Barisal Division to a mountainous 712-7d in 221 overs.
The following year, the Bangladeshi batting prodigy earned his maiden Test cap. However, the cricketer failed to justify his talent at the top level.
2. Tamim Iqbal – 334* vs Central Zone, 2020
One of Bangladesh’s greatest batters of all time, Tamim Iqbal produced an astounding 334* from just 426 balls against the Central Zone in match number two of the 2020 Bangladesh Cricket League. Opening the innings for the East Zone alongside Pinak Ghosh, Iqbal crafted a 62-run opening partnership before sharing another 296 runs for the second wicket with captain Mominul Haque.
The elegant left-hander scored his runs at a strike rate of nearly 80, and plundered 42 boundaries and three huge sixes against the likes of Central Zone’s Mustafizur Rahman and Shohidul Islam.
His innings, coupled with a century from Mominul extended East Zone’s total to 555-2d in 139.5 overs, and it set up path for his side’s comprehensive innings victory by nine runs.
Needless to say, Tamim Iqbal won the ‘Player of the Match’ award, as he became only the second Bangladesh cricketer in history to compose a first-class triple century.
1. Towhid Hridoy – 350* vs South Africa A, 2026
Just a couple of months after making his Test debut for Bangladesh, Towhid Hridoy celebrated his national call-up by charting 350* unbeaten runs in a single innings. Leading the Bangladesh A side against hosts South Africa A at the Senwes Park in Potchefstroom, the number four batter arrived at the crease at 37-2 in 11 overs.
Up against South Africa’s 512-run total, Hridoy composed handy partnerships with Mohammad Naim and Afif Hossain before turning the tide with successive 150-plus stands with half-centurions Jaker Ali and Mohammad Saifuddin.
The skipper faced 481 deliveries at the crease, and dispatched 27 of them for boundaries and another 10 for huge sixes. By the time he was done, Bangladesh A had mounted 676-8d in 191.2 overs to take a huge 164-run lead over the hosts.
While the match turned out to be a high-scoring draw at Potchefstroom, Towhid Hridoy became only the third Bangladesh cricketer in history to register a first-class triple hundred, and the first ever from his country to list 350 or more runs in a single innings.
He also became the first-ever Bangladesh cricketer to chart his first-class triple ton outside Bangladesh.
