Kolkata Knight Riders have one of the strongest squads in the IPL 2026 if looked at statistically and based on the recent form of players. While they are one of the most potential contenders for the playoff spots, their might in the lineup trickles down to uncapped players too, who can turn into surprise blessings for the team.

Most of KKR’s Playing XI will feature prominent names with established backups in their place. However, there are talents who will be playing IPL for the first time ever in their life and can be most impactful, proving to be a hidden gem for the team.

KKR Talents Who Can Prove To Be Hidden Gems in IPL 2026

1) Daksh Kamra

Daksh Kamra might be the exact replica of Varun Chakaravarthy for this IPL 2026 season. Kamra has been a prominent domestic cricketer, and his recent spell against Chhattisgarh at the DY Patil Stadium back in February earned him a lot of applause.

Playing for Mumbai Customs, Kamra scalped two wickets from his four overs while conceding just 28 runs.

The mystery spinner, who usually bowls leg-break googlies, is also handy with the bat, as the 22-year-old promises difficulty for both left and right hand batters with the ball.

Of course, he may not find himself as a regular in the playing XI for the initial matches. However, if the INR 30 lakh buy proves his ability whenever he gets an opportunity, Daksh Kamra might emerge as the new mystery spinner for Kolkata, capable of troubling batters, especially on Mullanpur and Chinnaswamy Stadium pitches.

2) Tejasvi Dahiya

Tejasvi Singh Dahiya is also the latest signing of KKR in the IPL 2026 auction, where they roped him in for INR 3 crore. Tejasvi has played eight List A matches and six T20 games, where in the latter, he boasts an average of 56.50 at a massive strike rate of 168.65.

The Virender Sehwag fanboy, who was the leading six-hitter in DPL 2025, smashing 29 sixes and scoring 339 runs at a strike rate of approximately 200, could be the solution to the middle-order woes of Kolkata Knight Riders, especially after the retirement of Andre Russell.

Alongside Rinku Singh, Tejasvi's prowess with the bat might ease the middle-to-death over batting struggles of KKR in case the top order falters after Cameron Green.

The wicketkeeper power-hitter is indeed a hidden gem that KKR would like to protect and not expose until the more significant matches in the latter half of IPL 2026.

3) Prashant Solanki

Prashant Solanki is another find of the Kolkata Knight Riders, whom they roped in for INR 30 lakh in the IPL 2026 auction. The leg-break bowler could form a deadly combination alongside Sunil Narine on spin-friendly surfaces. Even though he might not get the initial call-ups, Solanki's recent red-hot form calls for his audition in significant matches.

Solanki had impressive returns in the Vijay Hazare Trophy Elite, where he scalped four wickets in the only match he played against Goa.

In the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, he picked up six wickets from seven matches, while in the Maharashtra Premier League, he scalped 17 wickets from nine matches, maintaining an economy rate of 7.24 and registering two four-wicket hauls in the tournament.

Whether as an impact substitute or an alternative option for Varun Chakaravarthy in case of injuries, KKR might utilise Solanki in crucial matches, as they would prefer to keep their weapon under wraps for most of the tournament.
