In February 2023, the southpaw made headlines when she was bought by the Gujarat Giants (GG) for a whopping INR 50 Lakhs in the inaugural Women's Premier League (WPL) auction. The 25-year-old was the most expensive uncapped player at the auction.
Tanuja had several notable performances in the past, including a four-wicket haul giving away just 15 runs in the Women's Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2019 Final against Sri Lanka Women. In the 2021-22 Women's Senior One Day Trophy, the left-arm bowler bagged an impressive six-wicket haul decimating Meghalaya Women.
The Shimla-born will benefit from sharing the Giants' camp with the likes of Ashleigh Gardener and Deandra Dottin. She will look to step up by taking valuable insights from them as she prepares for the upcoming WPL.
