Shorna Akter has quickly established herself as one of the brightest young stars in Bangladesh women’s cricket. Born on January 1, 2007, she is a leg-spinning all-rounder with the ability to change games both with bat and ball, making her a player the team can count on in high-pressure moments.

Her rise began at the 2023 Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup, where she scored 153 runs at an average of 51.00 and was the only Bangladeshi cricketer named in the Team of the Tournament.
