Meanwhile, India Women have barged into the grand finale. To be fair, this was the bare minimum that was expected out of them, wasn't it. Who will be the challenger in front of them on September 13? Will it be arch-rivals Pakistan Women? Or will it be Sri Lanka Women, who defeated them in the final of the 2024 edition? We will find out together. Join us at 7:00 PM IST, 5:30 PM local time for our coverage of the second semifinal tomorrow.
The same 'ol story for Bangladesh Women. Their bowlers, led by Marufa Akter, impressed throughout the tournament but the batters left a bit to be desired. However, on the night when it mattered the most, it was their fielding that let them down. Nigar Sultana and co. will take their learnings from this campaign and hopefully, come out better next time.

Harmanpreet Kaur (India Women captain): "(Her thoughts on the performance) Very happy with the way things are going in batting and bowling.

(On the pitch) There was a value to the good balls. If you gave revs to the ball, there was value to it. Spinners from both the teams bowled really well today. The batters were trying hard to get runs. But there was a lot for the spinners on this wicket and they used it well.

(On small contributions from different players) The small-small partnerships worked really well. Especially on this pitch, where you don't know how things will be. Small-small things mattered a lot. All small partnerships we had while batting, those were crucial. Then Richa's batting. She came in and played a few really good shots. Then, with the ball also, Deepti was excellent today. Whenever we needed, she gave us the breakthroughs."
Shafali Verma (POTM): "[On her batting] Yeah, it was a lot humid out there. Sometimes, I could not even breathe. So, just tried to inhale and exhale more. Tried to play a bit grounded strokes and yeah, I am just trying to build my innings.

[On attacking in the powerplay] Yeah, of course. Like I said, it was easier to score in the first six overs. We are just trying to take a lot of runs from those overs. I know it my job to hit fours and sixes in powerplay, just trying to do that."

Nigar Sultana (Bangladesh Women Captain): "[Did India get 20 runs more?] Yeah, actually we didn't bowl well today. In the last three games, we bowled well and fielded really well. We dropped few chances there.

[Was there extra pressure playing against India tonight?] I don't think so. It was just a bad day. Sometimes you know, we wanted to restrict them to a total that we could chase. We couldn't get going in the powerplay.

[Reason behind chasing tonight?] We played three games here and we knew how the wicket will behave. We were expecting we will get a good wicket here. We couldn't capitalize on the chances today and they batted really well.

[Learnings from this competition?] We have achieved a lot of things from here. We learnt here that we played limited. In the future, we want to play all-out game and execute in the middle."
