A power-hitting top-order batsman, Kushal Bhurtel is a professional cricketer for Nepal national team who first featured for the U-19 squad in the 2016 World Cup. After a short stint in the World Cup, three years later he made his List A debut, playing for Nepal in the ACC Emerging Sides Cup.
Bhurtel, who has been long touted for success in Nepal, the youngster made his international debut in a T20I fixture against the Netherlands on April 17th, 2021. He played a sublime knock of 62 and earned the Man of the Match award on his debut.
With 278 runs in his debut tournament, 106 more than the next highest scorer, Bhurtel was an uncontroversial choice for Player of the Series. One of the most reliable players in the current Nepal squad, the 24-year old will be a vital cog for them in the upcoming years.
