A genuine pace bowler, Gavin Main is a professional cricketer for the Scottish national team and one of the brightest prospects who possesses a lethal yorker with a classical top-arm action. Main made his first-class debut for Durham against Northants in May 2014.
Having made his way through the Scotland ranks, representing Scotland U19s at the ICC U19 World Cup in Australia, New Zealand and in Dubai. Main made his Scotland debut against the Netherlands in 2013, his chances in the national team have been limited due to a number of injuries, including a fractured back.
He featured for his country as Scotland secured their first win on the global stage, beating Hong Kong in the ICC World T20 in India in 2016. The quick bowler has only featured in two first-class matches for Durham since then, against Northants & Kent in 2017.
