Player Bio

A talented bowling all-rounder, Sophie Mcmahon is a professional Irish cricketer who first arrived at the international stages in 2017 on the back of a successful English domestic season.

Hailing from Dublin, Sophie made her international debut in an ODI fixture against the Indian women’s side on May 15th, 2017. She had a horrendous debut as Ireland were bundled out on just 109 runs chasing a massive total of 259. After just a couple of ODI games under her belt, two years later, the 24-year old received her T20I debut cap against West Indies in May 2019. Her skills were better utilised in the shortest format that saw her becoming a regular in the Irish Women’s side.
