Bhuvneshwar Kumar returned to India’s T20I setup after nearly four years away from international cricket. The experienced pacer was included in India's playing XI for the first T20I against New Zealand on October 22.

However, his comeback did not go as planned. Bhuvneshwar Kumar struggled to control the flow of runs and went wicketless in his four overs, conceding 49 runs at an economy rate of 12.25.

Having said this, in this article, let’s take a look at the last time the Indian pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar took a T20I wicket.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar's Last T20I Wicket

The last time Bhuvneshwar Kumar took a T20I wicket was on November 20, 2022 against New Zealand at Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui.

The dismissal came during the second T20I of India's tour of New Zealand. Bhuvneshwar Kumar removed opening batter Finn Allen on just the second ball of the innings.

Finn Allen tried to attack a full delivery outside off stump but got an outside edge. The ball flew towards deep third, where Arshdeep Singh took a good catch to give India an early breakthrough.

Bhuvneshwar's last appearance for India before his recent comeback came in the third T20I against New Zealand at McLean Park in Napier. He conceded 35 runs in four overs as rain interrupted the match, which ended in a tie under the DLS method.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar Created Several Unwanted Records

Bhuvneshwar’s comeback also saw him lose a long-standing record. During his second over in the IND vs NZ 1st T20I, he bowled a no-ball, ending his streak of never bowling one in the T20I format.

Before this match, he had bowled 1,797 balls in T20Is without delivering a no-ball. The ace pacer from Meerut also delivered his second-most expensive over in T20Is.
