Kohli even extended the gap later that weekend by slapping his second successive hundred and the seventh of his IPL career overall, doing so against Gujarat Titans in Bengaluru. The legendary right-hander compiled 101* runs off 61 balls in RCB’s must-win final league match, before Shubman Gill doused Kohli’s juggernaut with a match-winning Titans ton. Incidentally, the modern-day batting great holds all those records for the RCB franchise, considering the prolific right-hander remains the only player in history to have played all his IPL matches in its first 18 editions for a single team. Kohli is also the leading century-maker with eight hundreds, and is set to step into the IPL 2026 stage this month for the first time in his career as a ‘defending champion’.
