Digvesh Rathi and Nitish Rana are set to play IPL 2026 for their respective teams. However, many fans do not know that the two players once had a heated argument during a match in the Delhi Premier League (DPL 2025).
Recently, a video shared by Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) went viral, and it showed Rishabh Pant acting as a peacemaker between the two players before a match at Ekana Stadium.

In the viral video, Rishabh Pant stopped Digvesh Rathi and told him to calm down and not walk away. Meanwhile, Nitish Rana was also seen talking to Rathi and trying to settle the issue. The conversation looked serious, and it seemed like there were still some old issues between the two players.
Therefore, fans became curious and wanted to know what had happened the last time they faced each other on the field.
What happened between Digvesh Rathi and Nitish Rana In DPL 2025
The incident happened during the Delhi Premier League (DPL 2025) when West Delhi Lions played against South Delhi Superstarz. During that match, Nitish Rana played an outstanding innings and dominated Digvesh Rathi’s bowling.
In Rathi’s first over, Rana scored 22 runs. After that, he continued attacking and hit two sixes and a four in the next over as well. As a result, Rathi ended with expensive bowling figures.

Nitish Rana reached his fifty in just 20 balls after hitting three consecutive sixes against Rathi. Later, he completed his century in 42 balls and finished unbeaten on 134 runs from 55 balls. His innings included eight fours and fifteen sixes, and this helped his team move forward in the tournament.

During the match, there was also a battle of mind games between the two players. At one point, Digvesh stopped during his run-up, and then Rana stepped away from the crease when Digvesh was about to bowl. A few balls later, Rana hit a reverse sweep for a six and then copied Digvesh’s signature celebration. This action annoyed Digvesh, and he said something to Rana.
After this, Rana became angry and walked towards Digvesh, and the two players started arguing. The situation became tense, and other players along with the umpires had to step in and separate them. The argument became one of the most talked-about moments from that tournament.
Nitish Rana’s match-winning performance in DPL 2025
Even though there was tension during the match, Rana continued to play aggressively and let his bat do the talking. He smashed fifteen sixes and scored 134 runs, which helped West Delhi Lions chase a target of 202 runs in just 17.1 overs. As a result, his team won the match by seven wickets.
Later, when LSG were set to play against Delhi Capitals, fans were expecting another heated moment between the two players. However, Rishabh Pant stepped in and made sure both players talked and settled their issues.
In the end, the old fight turned into a calm conversation, and the two players appeared to move forward. LSG will take on Delhi Capitals on April 1 at the Ekana Stadium.
