Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals are locking horns in the match number 3 of the IPL 2026 at the Barsapara Stadium, Guwahati. The CSK vs RR match is witnessing the U19 World Cup-winning captain, Ayush Mhatre, take on the field against prodigy Vaibhav Sooryavanshi.

1. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, 15 years and 2 days
Born on March 27, 2011, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi turned 15 years old on March 27, 2026. The young prodigy from Bihar made headlines as a left-handed batter, becoming the youngest player to secure an IPL contract and later the youngest centurion in men's T20 history at 14, before turning 15.
The teenage prodigy has already shown confidence beyond his age. When asked about his goals for the upcoming IPL 2026, whether he was targeting the Orange Cap, Suryavanshi joked that he aims to score “2,000-3,000” runs, drawing laughter but reflecting his unbreakable fearlessness.
2. Ayush Mhatre, 18 years and 8 months
A bright and young right-handed batter from Mumbai, Ayush Mhatre, made his IPL debut at the age of 17. Mhatre earned his maiden IPL contract when Chennai Super Kings signed him as a replacement for Ruturaj Gaikwad for INR 30 lakhs during TATA IPL 2025.

Mhatre made an immediate impact with 240 runs in seven matches, including a top score of 94. Now an ICC U19 World Cup-winning captain, Mhatre will aim to keep shining for CSK in IPL 2026.
3. Sahil Parakh, 18 years and 9 months
Young Parakh joins Delhi Capitals as one of the most exciting young prospects in the country. Bought for ₹30 Lakh during the IPL 2026 auction. Sahil’s rise to national prominence was fast-tracked during the 2024-25 India Under-19 series against Australia, where he scored a breathtaking 109 off just 75 balls.
Before joining the DC family, he represented Eagle Titans Nashik in the Maharashtra Premier League, showing his ability to play franchise cricket.
4. Satvik Deswal, 19 years and 7 days old
The IPL 2025 defending champions, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), acquired the services of Satvik Deswal at the December mini auction. Deswal is an 18-year-old left-arm wrist spinner and handy lower-order batter. He represents Pondicherry in the domestic circuit. The young spinner recently dominated the Pondicherry T20 tournament.
5. Vihaan Malhotra, 19 years and 2 months
Another compelling name in the list of the youngest players in IPL 2026, Vihaan Malhotra, is an exciting left-handed batter and right-arm off-break bowler. He recently served as the vice-captain of India's victorious 2026 ICC Under-19 World Cup campaign.
Recognising his high-pressure temperament on the international age-group stage, RCB secured his services for his base price of INR 30 Lakh during the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) auction. The promising 19-year-old brings valuable tactical depth, sharp fielding, and all-around utility to the RCB roster.
