Zimbabwe all-rounders Ryan Burl and Brad Evans stitched together a world record partnership for their country in T20I history. Batting for the seventh wicket against hosts Namibia in Windhoek in match number three of the Namibia T20I tri-series 2026, the two cricketers put up 94* runs off just 48 balls.

Their belligerent seventh wicket stand helped Zimbabwe mount 195-6 in 20 overs after they had slipped to 101-6 in 12 overs at one stage.

No seventh wicket pair in T20I history has put up more runs in a single innings than the 95-run unbeaten effort put up by Ryan Burl and Brad Evans. Batting against Namibia in Windhoek on Monday, August 31, the two Zimbabwe all-rounders formed forces at the crease at 101-6 in 12 overs.

Both Burl and Evans went on to bat till the end of the innings through their unbroken 94-run partnership from just 48 balls. Burl packed 57* runs in the Zimbabwe innings from just 32 balls, while Evans blasted 37* from just 24 as the visitors charted 195-6.

With the partnership, Ryan Burl and Brad Evans have now scripted the biggest seventh wicket stand in T20I history, going past the likes of Australia’s Marcus Stoinis and Daniel Sams, when the two conjured 92 runs against New Zealand in 2021. How Ryan Burl and Brad Evans have fared in recent matches

It is worth noting that between Brad Evans and Ryan Burl, the latter of the two cricketers is a formidable middle-order batting exponent for Zimbabwe.

Burl has so far aggregated over 2,000 runs for Zimbabwe in 117 T20I innings at an average of 26.52 and with a strike rate of 124.64. Just last month, the cricketer listed 100 runs in a three-match series against India at home.

Evans, meanwhile, has made 259 runs in 25 innings for Zimbabwe at an average of 13.63. As an all-rounder, the 29-year-old tends to make more impact with the ball but still holds a penchant of scoring quick runs in the slog overs.
