Alyssa Healy notched up an electrifying century in her farewell ODI game against India Women at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart. The legendary opener hammered down her eighth ODI ton, and only her second 150-plus score as Australia blazed past the 400-run mark in the third ODI of the series.

Fellow seasoned pro Beth Mooney also slapped a cracking century in the middle-order as Australia aims to clinch a 3-0 sweep in the ODIs against India. 

Through the course of their latest batting bombardment against the ‘Women in Blue’, hosts Australia racked up a slew of some major Women’s ODI records. Here is a look at all major records broken by the Australian Women’s team with their Hobart blitz.

Alyssa Healy, Beth Mooney climb higher for huge century record

Playing her final ODI match, Alyssa Healy tonked her eighth century in the format. The legendary opener has now levelled up with former cricketer Karen Rolton in terms of charting the second highest number of Women’s ODI centuries for Australia. Both Healy and Rolton continue to trail behind World Cup-winning former skipper Meg Lanning.

Beth Mooney also climbed higher for the all-time Australian record.

Alyssa Healy, Beth Mooney create world record against India Women

Alyssa Healy’s thunderous century also marked her third such ODI score against India Women. She has now become the highest century-maker in the history of Women’s ODI cricket against the ‘Women in Blue’, surpassing the likes of Suzie Bates, Charlotte Edwards, Georgia Voll and several others.

Mooney also stormed into the number one spot alongside Healy later in the day with her third respective hundred against India.

Alyssa Healy joins league of legends for 150-plus scores

Alyssa Healy belted 158 runs off just 98 balls to notch up her second score of 150 or more in Women’s ODIs. She has now levelled up with legendary Sri Lanka all-rounder Chamari Athapaththu, South Africa captain Laura Wolvaardt and few others to tonk most 150-plus scores in the format.

Alyssa Healy departs with huge captaincy record as batter

Alyssa Healy’s 158 also marked the fifth highest individual score by any captain in Women’s ODI cricket. Former Australian skipper Belinda Clark remains the only captain in history to notch up an ODI double hundred.

Among active skippers, Healy fell behind Sri Lanka’s Chamari Athapaththu and South Africa’s Laura Wolvaardt.

Alyssa Healy surpasses herself for most ODI boundaries in an innings

Alyssa Healy clattered 27 fours in her innings to attain the world record of notching up the joint-second highest number of boundaries in a single Women’s ODI game. Levelling up with India’s Deepti Sharma, Healy’s effort fell four fours behind New Zealand’s Amelia Kerr for the all-time world record.

Alyssa Healy raced past the 150-run mark against India in the third ODI in Hobart from just 95 deliveries. She now holds the world record of cracking the second fastest 150 in the history of women’s ODI cricket, falling behind Suzie Bates by just two deliveries.

Australia mount record ODI total at home

Australia Women charted a colossal 409-7 from 50 overs after being put into bat first. The total marked the highest-ever posted in a Women’s ODI match played on Australian soil, surpassing their own 29-year-old record against Pakistan in Melbourne.

India to chase 410 to avoid 3-0 series defeat

Australia batted first and hammered down 409-7 in 50 overs in Hobart. Apart from Alyssa Healy cracking 158 in her final ODI game, wicketkeeper-batter Beth Mooney also blasted 106 from just 84 balls. Georgia Voll minted a swift 62 in the innings and Nicola Carey provided the slog-overs fury with her 15-ball 34*.

In a bid to avoid an ODI series whitewash ‘Down Under’, Team India is now in pursuit of a world record chase of 410 runs.
