The Delhi Capitals vs Punjab Kings match on April 25 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium saw some mind-blowing batting from the KL Rahul and Nitish Rana duo. As the Capitals vs Kings clash was in its first half, KL Rahul took charge to create mayhem on the field with his breathtaking 150-run-plus knock alongside Nitish Rana's 91-run stand.

The duo registered one of the highest runs in IPL with their mammoth partnership. The partnership too was of 204 runs that etched itself on a list of the most elite partnerships in the IPL.

As KL Rahul came into bat, the DC veteran scored a 67-ball 152 as he came to open with opener Pathum Nissanka. However, Nissanka was dismissed soon for just 11 runs, and then entered Nitish Rana, the Delhi boy.

The duo took charge of the Delhi Capitals vs Punjab Kings clash as a total of 68 runs were made inside the powerplay, and it was soon accelerated with 189 runs in the next 9 overs.

The mayhem caused Xavier Bartlett to leak most runs at an economy rate of 17.25 from his 4-over spell. Meanwhile, the 204-run partnership of KL Rahul and Nitish Rana stood out to be the sixth-highest partnership recorded in IPL ever.

This highest partnership record comes after the 205-run partnership that Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan recorded in May 2025 against Delhi Capitals themselves.

The KL Rahul-Nitish Rana destruction added multiple records that were broken on April 25, 2026, in the Delhi vs Punjab clash. Courtesy of the duo, Delhi Capitals recorded their fastest-ever team 200 in IPL, where they reached the milestone inside 15.3 overs. Earlier, they reached the 200-run mark in 16.1 overs against MI and 16.6 overs against Gujarat Lions back in 2017.

PBKS Bowlers Bruised By Rahul-Rana Beating

In the DC vs PBKS match, the most expensive over was given by Xavier Bartlett, courtesy of Nitish Rana, who slammed the Australian bowler for two sixes and four boundaries in the over.

Meanwhile, Arshdeep Singh, the star pace spearhead for Punjab Kings, also took a solid beating, leaking 49 runs from his four-over spell while taking one wicket. 

Marco Jansen too was slapped for 45 runs, with Vijaykumar Vyshak leaking 48 from three overs, and Yuzvendra Chahal also getting a beating for 42 runs from his four-over spell.
