Team India created history by winning their third T20 World Cup trophy after defeating New Zealand in the final match. The exciting game took place at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday.
Notably, India defeated New Zealand by a huge margin of 96 runs. Soon after the victory, celebrations spread throughout the country. At the same time, several Bollywood stars took to social media to congratulate the Indian team and share their happiness with fans.
India’s strong performance in T20 World Cup final
In the final match, Team India delivered an outstanding performance with both bat and ball. First, India posted a massive total of 255 runs on the scoreboard. Notably, this was made possible because of strong batting performances by Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan, and Sanju Samson, who all scored impressive half-centuries.
On the other hand, New Zealand struggled while chasing the target and were bowled out for just 159 runs. Jasprit Bumrah played a major role in India’s victory by taking four important wickets. Meanwhile, Axar Patel also contributed with the ball and picked up three wickets. As a result, India secured a comfortable win.
Shah Rukh Khan praises team India
Among the many celebrities celebrating the victory was superstar Shah Rukh Khan. The actor shared his excitement and pride after India’s big win by posting a photo of Team India lifting the trophy.

Anushka Sharma applauds the team
Actor Anushka Sharma also expressed her happiness through an Instagram story. She shared a photograph of the winning Indian team and congratulated them for their hard work and achievement.

Actor Anil Kapoor congratulated the team in a fun way. He shared a playful Instagram post where he was seen enjoying a plate of kiwi fruit while joking about New Zealand’s defeat.

With this remarkable victory, India not only lifted their third T20 World Cup trophy. With this victory, India became the first team to successfully defend the men’s T20 World Cup title. The team had previously won the tournament in 2007 and 2024.
