Cameron Green slammed for golden duck [Source: JioHotstar]
Cameron Green caused a social media outburst after his poor performance during the IPL 2026 clash between KKR and CSK. The all-rounder, who fetched a hefty contract during the auction, failed to live up to the fansā expectations.
KKR were chasing a 193-run target against CSK when they needed Green to fire in the middle order. However, instead of being the anchor, the Australian all-rounder put Kolkata in a much deeper mess.
Cameron Green fails to fire against CSK
CSK had opted to bat first, and young opener Ayush Mhatre showed no mercy to Cameron Green by hitting him for 20 runs in the powerplay. In just two overs that he bowled, the all-rounder conceded 30 runs without getting a single wicket.
To add to the misery, Green had an awful day with the bat as well. KKR were 85/4 when he walked out to bat. Naturally, fans expected the Aussie to pull the Knight Riders out of the mess.
However, Green failed miserably. Noor Ahmad came round the wicket to bowl, thus changing the angle. He bowled a quicker ball on a good length, targeting middle and leg stump.
Cameron Green tried to back away and create room to hit through the off-side. But the ball skidded on faster than expected, beating the bat and crashing into the stumps.
With that, Green was sent back on a golden duck as KKR got reduced to 85/5 in 10.5 overs.

Fans call Cameron Green a āfraudā
Meanwhile, fans lashed out at Cameron Green on social media for his poor performance. The all-rounder was sold for INR 25.20 crore during the IPL 2026 mini-auction, and hence, KKR had huge expectations from him.
But his failures, especially when the team needed him the most, led to widespread disappointment.
To add to the frustration, KKR have not won a single match in this IPL 2026 season, thus falling to the bottom of the points table.
KKR are on the verge of a big loss
