During the IPL 2026 match between KKR and Gujarat Titans, ICC chairman Jay Shah and CAB president Sourav Ganguly marked their attendance. However, their spectating seats left fans in disbelief.
KKR, struggling to get a victory this season, visited the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad to face GT. While the game took gripping turns on the field, some off-the-field moments also made headlines.
Jay Shah and Sourav Ganguly show off their down-to-earth nature
In the midst of an intense IPL 2026 game, the camera panned towards ICC chairman Jay Shah, who attended the KKR vs GT contest at the Narendra Modi Stadium alongside Bengal cricket president Sourav Ganguly.
However, instead of the VIP stand, the duo were seen seated among the group of fans in a regular stand. The visuals quickly gained attention as fans praised Shah and Ganguly’s humility.
The fact that both the highly influential people ditched VIP culture to interact with fans totally moved social media.
While Jay Shah often attends multiple IPL games, this is the first time he was seen without any VIP facilities despite being the head of the global cricket body.

Cameron Green rescues KKR’s sinking ship
Meanwhile, on the field, KKR again had a false start in the first inning as Ajinkya Rahane was dismissed on a golden duck by Mohammed Siraj. Angkish Raghuvanshi and Tim Seifert fell shortly after, leaving KKR 3 wickets down with just 32 runs on the board.
However, KKR’s sinking ship was rescued by all-rounder Cameron Green. The Aussie, who was criticised for his high price tag, finally delivered with the bat, scoring his maiden half-century of the IPL 2026 season.
He built two 50+ run partnerships with Rovman Powell and Anukul Royal to get KKR back on track. While wickets fell at the other end, Green held his ground to ensure he did most of the work and kept the run rate flowing.
Eventually, Cameron Green scored 79 off 55 balls as KKR finished with a decent total of 180.
Rashid Khan had an off day for the Gujarat Titans

Ashok Sharma, the young speed gun, also leaked 45 runs but fetched 2 wickets. Siraj bowled an outstanding spell of 4-23-2.
