Arch-rivals India and Pakistan clashed in their second Group A fixture at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Saturday, September 5. The Women in Blue thrashed their opponents, chasing a paltry 56-run target inside only nine overs.
Despite the horrendous defeat, Riaz backed Pakistan Women to bounce back and tagged them as the best side in the competition. However, his remark was massively bashed by fans from both the nations in a hilarious and sarcastic way.

The defeat against India exposed serious problems in Pakistan Women's batting unit, with the team unable to build even a semblance of a competitive total.

“I believe that all the players in our team are very skilful, and they just need to trust themselves. Our next match is against Hong Kong. We will go back and discuss what we did wrong against India. We won’t commit the same mistakes. I still believe Pakistan is the best side in this Asia Cup to lift the trophy because the conditions really suit us,” Wahab Riaz told reporters after the defeat.
