Riyan Parag's Rajasthan Royals (RR) became the fourth team to qualify for the IPL 2026 playoffs. The Halla Bol Army will take on the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Eliminator at New Chandigarh on Wednesday (May 27). 

They edged out KKR, PBKS and DC to bag a slot for themselves among the top four teams. 

In their previous game, RR defeated MI in a high-scoring feast. Although no batter scored big, 30-odd runs from Dhruv Jurel and Jofra Archer took them to 205/8. Later in the chase, Archer bowled a spellbinding spell as Mumbai were rattled for 175/9. 

Ahead of the big Eliminator clash in IPL 2026, let us figure out the best-suited RR Playing XI vs SRH for the game in New Chandigarh.

Top Order: Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Dhruv Jurel

IPL 2026 has been Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's season, clubbing near 600 runs at a whopping strike rate of 232.27. He missed his the previous game, but the 15-year-old kid has shown that he is the player for big occasions. 

Yashasvi Jaiswal may been feeling the burden of matching Sooryavanshi stroke-by-stroke. However, the experienced southpaw should remember that what he can do on his given day. He will be an important part of the RR Playing XI vs SRH. 

With both openers going all guns blazing, Dhurv Jurel has taken the responsibility of being the anchor in the RR Playing XI. Against a tough Hyderabad bowling attack, he will remain crucial.

Middle Order & All-Rounders: Riyan Parag, Dasun Shanaka, Ravindra Jadeja, Donovan Ferreira

In the big game, RR will expect a lot from their skipper, Riyan Parag. Although his batting has been a concern, the stylish batter has scored a couple of remarkable knocks in recent outings. 

Dasun Shanaka has been a great addition to the RR Playing XI. Although his contributions generally go unnoticed, the Sri Lankan all-rounder has been a game-changer, especially as a middle-order batter.

Ravindra Jadeja played as an Impact Player against MI, but the prolific all-rounder needs to be in the RR Playing XI. Instead of Jaddu, the team management could play Shubham Dubey as the Impact Player. 

The kind of finishes Donovan Ferreira has given to RR this season means he will be an integral part of the batting lineup. 

Bowlers: Jofra Archer, Nandre Burger, Yash Punja, Brijesh Sharma

The way Jofra Archer bowled against MI was simply outstanding. He returned with 3 for 17 in his four overs. Thus, he needs to be the RR Playing XI. To complement Archer, Rajasthan will likely play Nandra Burger. Although he has given too many runs, he is a genuine wicket-taker. 

Brijesh Sharma bowled a spell of 2 for 26 in the previous game and operated really well in the middle overs. The team management will bag the J&K seamer. 

The tall leggie, Yash Punja, has been a great addition to the RR bowling department. Playing over Ravi Bishnoi, Punja has proved to be worth being in the RR Playing XI vs SRH.
