The Peshawar Zalmi are set to return to the field after a long break as they take on Hyderabad Kingsmen in Match 15 of the PSL 2026 at the National Stadium, Karachi, on April at 7:30 PM (IST).

In the lead-up to the match, Peshawar Zalmi last played a full game on March 28 against the Rawalpindiz, chasing down 215 runs comprehensively before their clash against the Islamabad United ended without a ball being bowled. Courtesy of a win and a no result, they sit fifth on the table with the fewest matches played.

One of the two new PSL 2026 teams, the Hyderabad Kingsmen, are still to open their points tally after three matches played and sit at the bottom of the table.

In Zalmi’s successful chase, Ali Raza was the pick of the bowlers with 2/42 (3), while Shoriful Islam bowled an economical spell of 0/31 (4). With the bat, Mohammad Haris was the leading run-getter with 41(28), and the rest of the batting line-up played explosive cameos to chase the big total.

As the Peshawar Zalmi take on the Hyderabad Kingsmen, we take a look at their predicted playing XI for the match.

Peshawar Zalmi’s Likely XI vs Hyderabad Kingsmen- PSL 2026, Match 15

Top Order: Babar Azam (c), Mohammad Haris (wk), Kusal Mendis

The captain Babar Azam batted at a quicker pace than he usually does in Zalmi’s season opener and scored 39 off 28, while stitching a 78-run opening stand in 8.4 overs. He will continue to get support from Mohammad Haris, who was their linchpin in the only innings they played, scoring 47(28) with four fours and two sixes.

Currently, there is no update on James Vince’s availability for the upcoming PSL 2026 games; hence, Kusal Mendis will join the Pakistani duo in the top order and bat at 3. He scored 31 off 17 with two sixes and a four in the last innings played.

The Peshawar Zalmi have a long middle order, starting with the overseas duo of Aaron Hardie and Michael Bracewell at 4 and 5. They will be followed by the Pakistani trio of Abdul Samad, who got a swashbuckling 33 off 11 with four towering sixes in the chase. The 19-year-old, Farhan Yousaf, who did not bat on his debut, will bat as a floater with a T20 strike rate of 191.35 in 5 innings, scoring 155 runs.

To cap off the middle order will be Aamer Jamal, who chipped in with a cameo of 17*(5) with two fours and a six and bowled a spell of 1/43 with his right-arm pace.

Bowlers: Sufiyan Muqeem, Soriful Islam, Ali Raza

The x-factor leg-spinner of the team, Sufiyan Muqeem, will be on the lookout for the best wicket of the season after a crafty and economical spell of 0/28 (4) in their season opener. He will be the lead spinner, alongside Michael Bracewell’s off-spin, to assist him.

The two frontline pacers, who will bowl alongside Aamer Jamal and Aaron Hardie, will be the Bangladesh 24-year-old Shoriful Islam, who conceded only 31 runs in a high-scoring match on his PSL debut.

The first-change bowler will be the 18-year-old, Ali Raza, who has picked 14 wickets in 10 PSL outings but conceded at a rate of 9.58 runs per over, which he would like to work on moving forward.
