The PSL 2026 season is set to kick off in under a week's time, and the former champions, Karachi Kings, are set to embark on a new era after the addition of two new teams led to a squad reshuffle. David Warner has been named their captain after a swashbuckling debut season in 2025 over Pakistan skipper Salman Agha.
The other star players in the squad will be Moeen Ali, Adam Zampa and Azam Khan, among others, who will play a crucial role in the Karachi Kings' pursuit of the second league title. As they begin their campaign against Quetta Gladiators on March 27, we take a look at their strongest XI for PSL 2026.
Karachi Kings' Strongest XI For PSL 2026
Top Order- David Warner (c), Muhammad Waseem, Salman Agha
The T20 veteran David Warner will continue his PSL journey with Karachi Kings after a successful 2025 season, where he scored 368 runs in 11 innings, striking at 153.97. Furthermore, he went on and scored two centuries in the BBL 2025/26 season, accumulating 433 runs at a strike rate of 154.09 in 8 innings. He will also captain the Kings in PSL 2026.
The UAE captain Muhammad Waseem will be the second opener with a plethora of T20 league experience. He has a career strike rate of 147.77 in 143 T20 matches and scored more than 4500 runs. Previously, he has been a part of the Islamabad United, Multan Sultans and the Kings' squad but yet to make a PSL appearance.
Pakistan's T20I skipper, Salman Ali Agha, will continue to bat at 3 for his franchise after doing well in the recent home T20I series against Australia. Additionally, he is also coming off an ODI fifty and a ton in the last two matches of the recent Bangladesh series.

Middle Order- Azam Khan (wk), Khushdil Shah, Moeen Ali, Shahid Aziz
Following his recent fitness transformation, wicketkeeper batter Azam Khan will be raring to go all guns blazing in PSL 11 to try and reclaim his spot in the Pakistan team after being out for a couple of years. Having played in the league since 2018/19, he has represented the Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United to get 1206 runs in 56 innings at 143.40.
Allrounder Khushdil Shah, with 228 T20 matches worth of experience and 4000 runs at 137.47, will be slated at 5. He can also provide left-arm orthodox and bowl economical spells in the middle overs. He has 102 wickets in 122 T20 innings so far.
The experienced off-spin bowling all-rounder Moeen Ali is another valuable member of the Karachi Kings squad and can bat across the batting order as per the team's needs. The 38-year-old has scored close to 8000 runs at 136.46 in 375 innings and picked 271 wickets in 343 T20 innings with the ball.
The 22-year-old Shahid Aziz, with impressive numbers in limited opportunities, would make it to this top-7 for the Karachi Kings. He has played 24 T20 innings and gotten 261 runs at a strike rate of 144 and picked 41 wickets in 33 innings with his medium pace.
Bowlers- Abbas Afridi, Hasan Ali, Mir Hamza, Adam Zampa
The bowling attack will be led by Abbas Afridi, who has previously played for the national team, picking 38 wickets in 23 innings. He has an impressive strike rate of 13.6 in 89 innings and has scalped 124 wickets. He can also add valuable runs down the order for the Kings as well.
The most experienced pacer of this bowling attack will be Hasan Ali, who has played in leagues around the world and picked 327 T20 wickets in only 227 innings. He has also played 57 matches for Pakistan and taken 72 wickets. Similar to Abbas Afridi, he can score important runs as well.
The 33-year-old left-arm pacer Mir Hamza will complete this pace attack with 28 innings and 33 wickets in the PSL to his name. In his overall T20 career, he has 76 scalps in 71 innings with the best figures of 4/9.
Adam Zampa will be the leader of the spin attack and the final overseas player in the team. He will be making his PSL debut in PSL 2026, and the Karachi Kings spinner has 409 wickets in 321 T20s, with the best figures of 6/19. He also has 147 T20I scalps in 112 innings at an economy rate of just 7.37 runs per over.
