Islamabad United and RawalPindiZ franchises will be crossing paths in match number 12 of the PSL 2026 season. The match will be hosted by the iconic Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Saturday, April 4 and the action will commence from 7:30 PM IST onwards.
While the match marks the fourth outing for Islamabad United, RawalPindiZ will be stepping out for just their third game of the season.

Islamabad United, under the leadership of all-rounder Shadab Khan, started off the PSL 2026 season with a huge win against Multan Sultans last weekend. Their subsequent match against Peshawar Zalmi got washed out without a ball being bowled owing to ceaseless rains in Lahore.

A couple of days ago, the Islamabad United franchise secured its first win of the season by crushing Quetta Gladiators with an eight-wicket margin. With a win and a defeat from two completed fixtures, the United has accumulated three points with an NRR of 0.133.
The RawalPindiZ, on the other hand, has suffered two demoralizing defeats in each of their two PSL 2026 games so far to occupy seventh position on the eight-team points table.
Islamabad United Likely Playing XI vs RawalPindiZ, Match 12
Openers and Top Order: Devon Conway, Sameer Minhas, Andries Gous
The Islamabad United team management will likely stick with the opening combination of New Zealand elite Devon Conway and Pakistan’s rising star Sameer Minhas. While Conway holds an experience of over 200 T20 matches and is due for a big score, Minhas recently bludgeoned a PSL record half-century of 82* (48) in a match-winning cause against Quetta Gladiators earlier this week.
Since we are still in the earlier phase of PSL 2026, the management might also give Andries Gous another opportunity in the playing XI as number three batter despite his recent failures.
Middle Order and All Rounders: Shadab Khan, Mark Chapman, Haider Ali, Faheem Ashraf, Imad Wasim
Captain and charismatic all-rounder Shadab Khan will continue to bat at number four, especially after his explosive 69* against the Gladiators earlier this week. The cricketer also picked up three wickets in the game to cap a remarkable all-round evening for himself.
Hard-hitting New Zealand batter Mark Chapman and Pakistan’s forgotten star batter Haider Ali will command Islamabad United’s middle-order alongside captain Shadab. Explosive all-rounders Faheem Ashraf and Imad Wasim will likely bat at number seven and number eight for the team. The two cricketers can also lend their arm for eight overs of quality bowling combined.
Bowlers: Mohammad Hasnain, Salman Irshad, Chris Green
The Islamabad United management might drop Salman Mirza from the playing XI, considering the star fast bowler is yet to pick up a wicket this PSL 2026 season, and has conceded runs at an expensive economy rate of 12.57. Fellow paceman Mohammad Hasnain may make his return to the team owing to his past PSL records, having taken 54 wickets so far in the tournament from 44 matches.
Salman Irshad will retain his place in the XI, and Australian spinner Chris Green will bat at number 11 and will provide some much-needed spin support to Imad Wasim.
