India Women will face Zimbabwe Women in the second ODI of the three-match series at the Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara on October 25. The match is scheduled to begin at 2:00 PM IST, with the hosts looking to continue their winning run after a dominant performance in the series opener.

Led by Smriti Mandhana, India Women made a commanding start to the series, defeating Zimbabwe by nine wickets in the first ODI. The visitors posted 197 runs in 49.5 overs, but India's batters made light work of the chase, reaching 200/1 in just 27.1 overs.

With the batting unit firing and the bowlers sharing the wickets, India have little reason to make major changes to their winning combination. However, players such as Harleen Deol and Vaishnavi Sharma remain available on the bench if the management decides to experiment.

Ahead of the India Women vs Zimbabwe Women clash, let's take a look at India's predicted playing XI.

Openers and Top Order: Smriti Mandhana (c), Pratika Rawal, Shafali Verma

Smriti Mandhana and Pratika Rawal are expected to retain their places at the top of the order after providing India with a solid start in the first ODI.

While Mandhana scored 32 runs off 34 deliveries before getting dismissed, Pratika Rawal stayed at the crease until the end, producing an unbeaten 100 off 96 balls. Her innings included 15 boundaries and earned her the Player of the Match award.

Shafali Verma is likely to occupy the number three position after an aggressive display in the series opener. The right-handed batter smashed an unbeaten 64 off just 33 deliveries, striking five fours and four sixes. Shafali Verma has scored 68 runs in two ODIs in 2026 at an average of 68.00, and her recent performance makes her a strong candidate to continue at No. 3.

Middle Order and All-rounders: Harmanpreet Kaur, Tejal Hasabnis, Deepti Sharma, Richa Ghosh (wk)

India's middle order is expected to feature captain Harmanpreet Kaur, Tejal Hasabnis, Deepti Sharma and wicketkeeper-batter Richa Ghosh. With the top three delivering in the first ODI, the middle order did not get an opportunity to bat. However, the management is likely to retain the same combination for the second match.

Harmanpreet Kaur has scored 132 runs in four ODIs in 2026, averaging 44.00. Her highest score this year is 54, and she will be expected to provide stability if India lose early wickets against Zimbabwe.

Tejal Hasabnis is another player likely to retain her place in the XI. Although she did not get an opportunity to bat in the opening match, her inclusion provides India with another batting option in the middle order.

Deepti Sharma will be a crucial part of India's all-round setup. She picked up two wickets for 44 runs in 9.5 overs in the first ODI, helping India restrict Zimbabwe to 197. Deepti has taken six wickets in four ODIs in 2026 at a bowling average of 35.83.

Richa Ghosh is expected to continue as the wicketkeeper-batter. She has scored 63 runs in four ODIs in 2026, with a highest score of 23. Although she did not need to bat in the series opener, her aggressive batting approach can provide India with a late-innings boost.

Bowlers: Shree Charani, Kranti Gaud, Sayali Satghare, Jintimani Kalita

India are likely to retain their bowling combination after a disciplined performance in the first ODI. Shree Charani was the standout performer with the ball, claiming four wickets for just 23 runs in her 10 overs.

She maintained an economy rate of 2.30 and repeatedly broke Zimbabwe's batting partnerships, making her a strong candidate to lead India's spin attack again.

Kranti Gaud also impressed in the opening match, finishing with three wickets for 42 runs in 10 overs. She has taken five wickets in three ODIs this year at an average of 25.60.

Sayali Satghare is likely to retain her place as another seam-bowling option. She conceded 33 runs in seven overs in the first ODI but did not pick up a wicket. Although she was unable to make a breakthrough, her inclusion provides India with another pace option alongside Kranti Gaud.

Jintimani Kalita could complete the bowling attack. She conceded 23 runs in five overs in the series opener and will be looking to make a greater impact in the second match. With Deepti and Shafali also available to contribute with the ball, India have several options to rotate their bowlers and maintain pressure on the Zimbabwean batters.
