Sports presenter and model Yesha Sagar has finally come clean on the recent controversy revolving around her alleged romantic relationship with Delhi Capitals batter Sameer Rizvi.
For context, journalist Abhishek Tripathi hinted at a relationship between a cricketer and a female anchor, alleging controlling behaviour and religious pressure.
Social media users quickly connected the dots and began naming Rizvi and Yesha without any official confirmation.

The viral claim suggested that Sameer Rizvi was forcing Yesha Sagar for religious conversion. Apparently, the cricketer asked her to stop shaking hands with other cricketers while working as a sports presenter and instead opt for namaste.
Not only that, Rizvi allegedly forced Yesha to delete bikini pictures from her Instagram profile. All these claims were highly sensitive in nature and hence gained traction on social media.
However, seeing the controversy getting blown out of proportion, Yesha Sagar broke her silence. She posted a cryptic quote, saying, “ Don't believe everything you see or read on the internet.”
This is a clear sign that Sagar is refuting the claims about her and Sameer Rizvi’s alleged love affair. However, so far, Sameer Rizvi has not reacted to the controversy. Both sides are maintaining silence on this senstive matter.

Who is Yesha Sagar?
Yesha Sagar is a 29-year-old sports presenter, model, and influencer. She was born in Ludhiana, Punjab and later moved to Canada for further studies. Sagar began her career as a model and actress, appearing in Punjabi music videos.
Later transitioned into sports presenting and worked in several cricket leagues, including Global T20 Canada, UP T20 League, BPL and WPL.
According to reports, Sagar met 22-year-old Sameer Rizvi during the UP T20 League, where the batter first broke into the scene. The couple has reportedly been dating for over a year. However, both parties have yet to confirm their relationship.
Sameer Rizvi’s IPL 2026 so far
Coming back to cricket, Sameer Rizvi is representing the Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2026 season. He began the tournament with a bang, scoring back-to-back match-winning knocks and winning Player of the Match awards.
In 7 innings so far, Rizvi has scored 209 runs at a 149.28 strike rate, including two half-centuries. This is Rizvi’s second season with DC. Earlier, he played for CSK in IPL 2024 but couldn’t make much of a difference.
