However, before the match even started, fans noticed something unusual. Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza walked out for the toss wearing a jersey that looked very different from the team’s regular kit. This left many fans wondering why Zimbabwe were not wearing their usual jersey against India.

Zimbabwe are wearing a special retro-inspired jersey as a tribute to their cricket history. The jersey is based on the iconic red kit the team wore during the 1992 ICC Cricket World Cup.

It is worth noting that the Zimbabwe Cricket Board decided to bring back the classic design for the T20I series against India as a way to celebrate one of the most memorable periods in the country’s journey. As a result, the players took the field wearing the famous red jersey that many fans still remember.

The 1992 ICC Cricket World Cup holds a special place in cricket history. It was the first World Cup in which teams wore coloured jerseys instead of the traditional white clothing used in ODIs.

The jersey was inspired by India’s famous 1992 World Cup design. It featured a navy blue base along with green, white, and red stripes across the shoulders, bringing back memories of the 1990s.
