It was a day of ducks for the Rajasthan Royals batters during the SRH vs RR clash. While mega players like Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Dhruv Jurel got out on ducks, Yashasvi Jaiswal was also dismissed on a very low score. However, what caught the limelight was Sooryavanshi’s hilarious act.

As the 15-year-old had a troubled outing on April 13 in Hyderabad, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was found doing hilarious gestures on live television as the SRH vs RR clash was broadcast.

Sooryavanshi Suffers a Bad Night After Days of Glory

Sunrisers Hyderabad debutant Praful Hinge hit the lottery on the very second ball of his IPL career. He dismissed RR’s golden boy, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, in the first over to send him back on a golden duck.

Provocated for a big swing, Vaibhav attempted a massive whopping of the ball; however, he ended up getting the top edge of the bat as Hinge got success early.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s dismissal was a cold blow to Rajasthan Royals as they were set to chase a total of 217 against the hosts at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, which had some unexpected pause earlier in the night of April 13.

Nevertheless, before his dismissal, Sooryavanshi was sitting out in the dugout near the boundary lines as the Impact Player for RR and while being at it, he mocked on live television.

While sitting, Vaibhav pulled off a mischievous act that had the internet off guard with laughter. While RR’s assistant coach Trevor Penney was giving an interview to JioStar on live television, a cornered side of the camera frame panned the 15-year-old, curious towards the camera.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, present at the dugout during Trevor’s interview, peeped from behind to show his face to the camera and made a hilarious face by sticking his tongue out while mocking the cameras.

The video quickly went viral with many fans adoring the mischievous yet innocent side of the Rajasthan Royals wonderkid.

RR Wonderkid's Successful IPL 2026 So Far

Sooryavanshi, however, has had a solid IPL 2026 so far. The multiple record breaker had his case with the bat strong while boasting a strike rate of 263.16 from 5 matches at an average of 40.00.

Notably, Sooryavanshi also had two half-centuries in the process with a special 15-ball fifty against the Chennai Super Kings. Though he couldn’t perform in the SRH vs RR clash, a small blemish would be insignificant amidst the sea of scores he has already made for his team.

Speaking of the Hyderabad clash, SRH built the mammoth total on the back of Ishan Kishan’s 44-ball 91 and Heinrich Klaasen, Nitish Reddy, and Salil Arora’s late blitz.
