Vaibhav Sooryavanshi made SRH owner Kavya Maran ecstatically happy on Monday during the Rajasthan Royals’ IPL 2026 match against the Sunrisers Hyderabad at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.

Sooryavanshi fell for a golden duck to record-breaker Praful Hinge, and that made Kavya Maran act like a child whenever he or she is in joy.

Sooryavanshi, the breakout star of IPL, went for an attacking shot against Hinge, who bowled at hard length. The 15-year-old RR opener could only get a huge top edge, and wicket-keeper Salil Arora made no mistake to catch the ball.

As long as the ball went up to the sky, Kavya closely looked at it with the hope of seeing Sooryavanshi fall for a golden duck. And it happened for real, and the joy from Kavya and the gestures she did after the Sooryavanshi’s wicket went viral in no time.

After taking Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s wicket, Praful Hinge kept on doing damage for SRH. He got the wicket of Dhruv Jurel and Lhuan-dre Pretorius in the same over, and another debutant, Sakib Hussain, joined the party to get rid of the dangerous Yashasvi Jaiswal.

Due to SRH's new pace pair’s utter domination, RR were 2/4 at one stage and 9/5 a few moments later, courtesy of captain Riyan Parag’s another disappointing knock.

Before the SRH vs RR match, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi had made 200 runs across four innings in IPL 2026. Unfortunately, his record worsened slightly after his failure against the Ishan Kishan-led side.

Rajasthan Rebuild After Early Horror Vs SRH

At one point, it seemed like RR were about to break RCB’s notorious IPL record, which was 49. It was RCB’s team total against KKR in 2017. It still remains the lowest team total in IPL history.

Donovan Ferreira and Ravindra Jadeja held the fort from both ends to avoid a humiliating defeat. After taking some time in the middle, they began to charge, with Ferrerira in particular going berserk.

At the time of writing this, Ferreira is batting on 57* off 34 balls, which had six fours and three sixes. Jadeja, on the other hand, is on 28* off 22 deliveries, as RR have reached 97/5 after 12 overs.

Given the fact that RR require 120 runs in 48 balls at this point, the job can still be done by the table toppers, who are yet to taste a defeat in this season.

Nevertheless, if RR, led by Riyan Parag, lose against Kavya Maran’s side, Shreyas Iyer’s Punjab Kings will remain the only side who are yet to be defeated in IPL 2026.
