At Trent Bridge, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's innings could only last for 13 runs as Jofra Archer trapped him in his deadly plan on Tuesday evening. He has dismissed on an identically since becoming the youngest ever Indian debutant.
In the chase of 202 runs, the Indian openers tried giving the team a berserk start, but both Sooryavanshi and Abhishek fell cheaply.
Sharma and Sooryavanshi looked attacking from the word go and shared a 23-run stand, where they went behind the English new-ball bowlers. But as soon as the World No. 2 fell to Josh Tongue, the 15-year-old didn't take too long to follow his senior partner.
After the openers, numero uno batter Ishan Kishan, skipper Shreyas Iyer and Axar Patel were also dismissed inside the powerplay, as India were left in a spot of bother in a do-or-die fixture.

Sooryavanshi, in response, tried hooking the ball, but he could only get a glove down to the right of Jos Buttler behind stumps.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, India batters failed big in Nottingham
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi started off well in Nottingham, just like his debut at Manchester, attacking both Archer and Josh Tongue for fabulous maximums. However, his stay lasted only five balls, as he fell for 14 runs.
Sooryavanshi and Abhishek Sharma’s early dismissals led to a horrible collapse. After the openers, India lost three more wickets inside the powerplay, losing half of their side in the first six overs for the first time in T20I history.
Archer and Tongue then had the lower middle and lower order batters, as India were wrapped up for 76 runs, bowled out in the fewest overs (11.4) in their history. The T20 World Champions bagged various other shambolic records in the IND vs ENG 3rd T20I.
After this defeat, Team India have gone five matches without a T20I victory, the longest winless streak in the shortest format for the Men in Blue.
What's next for Team India?
After this, India cannot win this series, but the Shreyas Iyer-led side would look to win the remaining T20I matches. Notably, England have never won a bilateral series in the shortest format against India.
The T20 World Champions will next be seen on Thursday at Bristol in the IND vs ENG 4th T20I. Before that, they would need to work on their batting plans, as well as the positions of various batters.
