Usman Tariq was all over the place when Pakistan were in the T20 World Cup 2026. The reason? Well, the 30-year-old has a double elbow, and therefore, his notorious bowling action often becomes the highest talking point of the game.

However, Tariq is not unplayable, as proven multiple times at the highest level. In fact, even in the domestic circuit, he failed to achieve success in a consistent manner, and his Saturday’s performance spoke volumes.

Usman Tariq took 10 wickets in five matches during the T20 World Cup 2026, with an average of 14.10 and an economy rate of 7.23. During the India game, Tariq bowled well, conceding 24 runs off his four overs with the wicket of Suryakumar Yadav.

Farhan Yousaf Makes Usman Tariq Suffer

Usman Tariq was in action during Pakistan’s National T20 Cup, where he represented Lahore Region Whites, playing against Peshawar Region. Tariq came to bowl during the second half of the match, and Farhan Yousaf, who is also Pakistan’s U19 captain, made him look like an ordinary bowler.

During the ninth over, Yousaf welcomed Tariq with a six on the first ball and smashed a four on the following delivery. Overall, Tariq conceded 17 runs off the opening over, definitely not an ideal start for Pakistan’s go-to T20I spinner at present.

Lahore Defeat Peshawar; Farhan Yousaf The Hero

On a day when Iftikhar Ahmed and Mohammad Nawaz failed miserably, Peshawar posted 167/9 batting first. Captain Aamir Jamal took three wickets for Lahore, while Naseem Shah returned figures of 1/32 off his four overs.

For Peshawar, Yasir Khan top-scored with a 37-ball 65, which had four fours and five sixes. Mohammad Haris, another out-of-form Pakistan wicket-keeper, could only manage 12 off 7 deliveries.

Coming to chase, opener Mohammad Fariq lost his wicket for a golden duck. Mohammad Akhlaq made 58 runs, but he took 46 balls to get there. Farhan Yousaf then accelerated the innings, smashing five fours and four sixes in an unbeaten 31-ball 61 knock, which helped Lahore get past the finishing line with three overs and six wickets to spare.
