In the last few years, Team India’s dream run in the ICC events is still on as their T20 World Cup 2026 kept it undisputed. Being present in the stadium, Rohit Sharma joined the Men in Blue on the glorious night, but Shivam Dube’s affection for Hitman won hearts.

Billions of manifestations from the Indian fans turned out to be true last night as Team India lifted the prestigious T20 World Cup trophy for the third time. After a dream run in the tournament, Team India registered the campaign on the best possible note as they defended the total and made history.

The Men in Blue may have lifted the trophy in Ahmedabad, but the joy reached every corner of the nation. The victory turned a little sweeter as the former Indian skipper joined the team in the celebration, as fans were emotional with Hitman’s arrival as the brand ambassador of the tournament.

As the entire team soaked in the rain of absolute joy, a heartwarming moment between Shivam Dube and Rohit Sharma grabbed everyone’s attention. When the other players were celebrating the triumph, Dube was seen hugging Rohit Sharma.

Even after Hitman tried to push away the Indian star, Dube just wanted him to stay on the field a little longer. Rohit was seen convincing him hard to let him go. The bond between two Mumbaikars stole hearts as fans loved every bit of the bromance between Rohit Sharma and Shivam Dube.

Dube remains Team India’s X-factor, even in the final

Since Team India started their campaign in the T20 World Cup 2026, Shivam Dube has remained Team India’s trusted weapon in need. Coming to bat in the lower order, he stepped up in need and rescued with some fiery knocks.

He may not have played some big knocks, but his powerful short cameos made a massive impact in Team India’s dream run in the tournament. In nine matches, he scored 235 runs with one half-century, which he scored against the Netherlands.

Even in the high-voltage final clash against New Zealand, fans witnessed some fine Dube magic. Joining Tilak Varma after Hardik Pandya’s dismissal, he played a fiery, unbeaten knock of 26 runs in just eight balls with a staggering strike rate of 325.00. With that, Team India put on a massive total of 255 runs.

India outclass New Zealand in a completely one-sided battle

After a stunning comeback in the Super Eight stage after an early defeat, Team India carried on their fabulous form in the final match. The challenges were bigger against the Kiwis, but the Men in Blue nailed the game. Abhishek Sharma was trolled for his poor run, but his half-century on the big day gave a huge boost.

After his dismissal, Ishan Kishan joined Sanju Samson, and the duo crafted a game-changing 105-run stand. Team India’s complete batting domination blew away the Kiwi bowling attack as they were already under pressure.

Their woes went deeper in the second innings as Indian bowlers wreaked havoc on the Kiwi batters. Even Tim Seifert and Mitchell Santner tried to steady things, but the rest failed to make an impact. In the end, India sealed the title once again with a commanding 96-run victory over New Zealand.
