Mohammad Nabi pulled off a stunning one-handed catch against Bangladesh in the ODI Tri-Series in the UAE. The veteran turned what looked like a dropped chance into a brilliant effort at slip.

The stunning catch added salt to Bangladesh’s wounds after an already disappointing day with the bat. In a must-win clash at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium to keep their hopes of reaching the ODI Tri-Series final alive, they continued to struggle under pressure.

Mohammad Nabi Turns Near-Miss Catch Into A Blinder With Solid Reflexes

Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan picked up his third wicket against Bangladesh in the first delivery of the 42nd over. Aliss Al Islam, batting at No. 9, edged a quick delivery outside off towards Mohammad Nabi at slip.

Mohammad Nabi dived to his left and got both hands to the ball, but it popped out on his first attempt. However, the 41-year-old reacted quickly, stuck out his right hand and grabbed the ball on his second attempt while tumbling to the ground.

Here is the video of Mohammad Nabi's sensational reflex catch against Bangladesh.

The wicket was confirmed after the third umpire checked the replays and found Nabi's fingers underneath the ball. Rashid completed his third wicket with the dismissal, while Bangladesh slipped to 160/9 in 41.1 overs.

Mohammad Nabi’s Stunning Catch Highlights Afghanistan’s Dominance In 3rd ODI

Bangladesh came into the must-win encounter at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, won the toss and elected to bat first. However, things quickly turned ugly for them as they lost four wickets for just 28 runs inside the powerplay.

Saif Hassan and Parvez Hossain Emon tried to rebuild the innings, but Afghanistan never allowed Bangladesh to regain control. The wickets continued to fall at regular intervals, and the visitors were eventually bowled out for just 160 runs.

Rashid Khan led Afghanistan’s bowling attack with a four-wicket haul, continuing his impressive performance with the ball. Mohammad Nabi’s sensational one-handed catch to dismiss Aliss Al Islam was the perfect cherry on top of Afghanistan’s dominant display.
