Mithun Manhas speaks on Virat-Rohit's role for World Cup

Previously, when the reports of Rohit Sharma's retirements emerged, BCCI secretary had dismissed the rumours, confirming his presence moving ahead. Virat Kohli has also openly spoken about his willingness to continue till the World Cup.

Mithun Manhas, in conversation with Sportstar, spoke about the importance of having experience in the squad. He stated that a player should be selected based on performance and age should not be a criteria.

"As far as the BCCI is concerned, we are not in a position to comment, as it all depends on the selectors and the coaches. From my perspective, fitness and performance should definitely be the criteria for selection, not age. If someone is fit to play, performing well and winning games for the country, that should be the only criterion we focus on,” said Manhas speaking to Sportstar.
