India and Zimbabwe faced each other in the third and final T20I of the ongoing series at the Harare Sports Club on Sunday, July 26. It is important to mention that the Men in Blue have already secured the series (2-0), making the 3rd T20I a dead-rubber match.

Young batting sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi once again impressed with a superb innings, scoring 81 runs off 49 balls at a strike rate of 165.31. However, his dream of registering a maiden T20I century came to an end after Brad Evans produced a sensational catch.

Soon after completing the catch, Evans appeared to be abusing the teenage batter with an aggressive celebration.

The incident took place on the final ball of the 15th over. Wessly Madhevere bowled a slower delivery outside the off stump.

Looking to continue his attacking approach, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi stepped out and tried to hit the ball straight down the ground. However, he failed to middle the shot, and the ball went high towards long-off.

Brad Evans sprinted in from the boundary, kept his eyes firmly on the ball and completed a brilliant diving catch. Since the catch was taken very close to the ground, Sooryavanshi waited as the on-field umpires referred the decision to the TV umpire.

After checking multiple replays, the third umpire confirmed that Evans had his fingers underneath the ball, making it a clean catch.

After taking the catch, Evans was seen celebrating aggressively and was even seen abusing Sooryavanshi.
