T Natarajan has given Indian cricket fans an unexpected glimpse of his batting power at the Hong Kong Sixes 2026. Known primarily for his left-arm pace, the Indian bowler turned into an aggressive finisher during the match against the UAE Sixes on October 31.
With India struggling to build a competitive total, Natarajan took matters into his own hands and produced a remarkable late assault, sending the ball flying to all parts of the ground.

Walking in after Krunal Pandya's dismissal, the left-hander smashed 38 runs off just 14 deliveries against the UAE, striking three boundaries and four sixes at a staggering strike rate of 271.42.
His assault began towards the end of the fourth over when Muhammad Farazuddin bowled a full delivery outside off. Natarajan swung hard, got an outside edge and watched the ball run away towards deep third man for four.
The fifth over, bowled by Muhammad Zuhaib Khan, saw Natarajan take complete control. He began by clearing his front leg and smashing a full delivery over wide long-on for a six. On the next scoring delivery, he pulled a short ball towards deep backward square leg for another boundary.
Natarajan then took Zuhaib on again in the same over. After collecting a single, he hammered a length delivery outside off over long-on for his second six of the over. He followed it up with another boundary.
However, the biggest display of his footwork came in the final over. Facing Ansh Tandon, T Natarajan initially struggled to connect with a full delivery before clearing his front leg and launching a full toss over long-on for six.

He repeated the move on the very next delivery, stepping down the track and sending another maximum over the same region. The back-to-back sixes brought up a 38-run contribution that kept India's hopes alive.
Natarajan outscores primary Indian batters
His contribution was particularly important when compared with India's batting performances in the opening two matches. Against Pakistan, Natarajan had scored an unbeaten 12 off six balls, hitting two fours.
Although Shashank Singh scored 40 and Nitish Rana made 19, Natarajan managed to outscore Rahul Tripathi (9), Rahul Tewatia (0) and Krunal Pandya (0).
Against the UAE, he went a step further. His 38-run knock was the highest individual score for India, taking him past every other Indian batter in the innings.

While Natarajan's batting has provided India Sixes with an unexpected attacking option, his bowling performances have been far from impressive in the opening two matches.
The left-arm pacer, whose primary strength is his bowling, conceded 28 runs in his only over against Pakistan without taking a wicket. He was even more expensive against the UAE, giving away 43 runs in two overs while remaining wicketless.
His combined figures across the two matches stand at 71 runs conceded from three overs, with no wickets to his name.
