Virat Kohli Meets RCB Teammate Jordan Cox [Source: X]
In an unexpected meetup, Indian cricket star Virat Kohli was spotted hanging out with his RCB teammate Jordan Cox in London. This meeting happened just hours before Cox’s Test debut for England.
Cox is a promising England batter who is likely to make his Test debut for England in the second Test against New Zealand, which is scheduled for June 17 at the Oval Stadium.
Virat Kohli spotted with Jordan Cox in England
Meanwhile, before the second Test kicked off, Jordan Cox was photographed having coffee with none other than Virat Kohli in London. The duo had a brief chat during their casual meetup, but the pictures immediately went viral on social media.
Interestingly, Cox and Kohli became teammates at RCB during the IPL 2026 season. Even though Cox did not play a match for RCB, he spent time in the dressing room and trained alongside senior players, including Kohli.

Hence, the viral photos suggest that the relationship continued after the IPL. Also, since Jordan Cox is making his debut, he must have received some good wishes from his IPL teammate.
Given Virat Kohli's experience, many believe the conversation would have been valuable for a young player preparing for his first Test.

Who is Jordan Cox?
Jordan Cox is a 25-year-old English batter who plays for Essex. He has scored 4,000 first-class runs with an average of 43.54, including a recent double century in the County Championship.
Cox was close to making his England debut in 2024 but suffered a thumb injury. Regardless, his strong county form forced his way back into contention, and England selected him for the second Test against New Zealand.
A spot for him has also opened up due to Ben Stokes's and Gus Atkinson’s ouster from the squad following a nightclub incident where the duo not only broke curfew but also got into a physical fight with a rugby player.
Virat Kohli is healing from a hamstring injury
Interestingly, Virat Kohli travelled back to London after the IPL 2026 season wrapped up. While RCB won the title, Kohli suffered from a hamstring injury on the eve of the finals, which ruled him out of the ODI series against Afghanistan.
Kohli’s injury is apparently severe, and it may take him close to 6 weeks to regain full recovery. Hence, he is rehabilitating in London, which is his permanent residence now.
India is set to tour England for a T20I and ODI series in July, and if all things go well, Virat Kohli is expected to be fit in time for the ODI leg. Notably, these series are crucial, as they’re a preparation journey for the Indian team ahead of the 2027 World Cup, where Kohli and Rohit Sharma are actively fighting to retain their spot.
