India A fast bowler Auqib Nabi picked up four wickets on Day 3 of their four-day unofficial Test against Sri Lanka A in Galle. The speedster conceded 58 runs to bag figures of 4-58 from his 19.4 overs.

His spell helped India A envelop the entire Sri Lanka A innings for just 330, after they had reached a commanding 300-5 at one stage. Nabi’s spell sparked a wave of social media reactions from Indian fans, urging the BCCI to select him in the national squad.

Liam Plunkett turns to baseball after cricket

Former England fast bowler Liam Plunkett is set to make a surprise switch to baseball. The 41-year-old will be making an appearance in a professional baseball league in the USA.

It is worth noting that Plunkett was part of the England team that lifted the 2019 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup title at home seven years ago.

It is worth noting that Kohli has been selected in India squad for the ODI series in England. However, his availability is still subject to fitness owing to the injury he picked up during the IPL 2026 season last month. 

Fatima Sana decimates Netherlands in T20 World Cup 2026

Pakistan Women’s captain Fatima Sana skittled Netherlands for just 89 by picking up a cunning three-wicket haul. Her spell helped Pakistan secure a comprehensive 37-run win to bow out of the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in style. 

Sana also extended her tournament tally to 11 wickets, thus becoming the leading wicket taker among all captains in any single edition of the Women’s T20 World Cup. 

India’s optional training session cancelled in Belfast

Team India lost the first T20I of its two-match away series against Ireland by 34 runs on Friday, June 26. Desperate to win the impending decider in a bid to level the series, India’s optional training session in Belfast was cancelled on June 26 owing to ceaseless rains at the Irish capital, as per reports. 

The second T20I will be hosted by the Civil Service Cricket Club in Stormont on Sunday, June 28.
