The Emirates Cricket Board has unveiled the UAE squad for the Women’s Asia Cup 2026 at home. Seasoned all-rounder Esha Oza will continue to lead the national side after captaining the team at the ACC Women's Premier Cup 2026 in Malaysia a couple of months ago.
The UAE Women’s team will kick off the Group B stage of the tournament, as their opening match is set to be played on August 29 next week in Dubai.
UAE squad for Women’s Asia Cup 2026 unveiled
The Emirates Cricket Board has become the latest cricket body to announce its national squad for the upcoming 2026 Women’s Asia Cup. Esha Oza will continue to lead the national side, and she will be accompanied by fellow star performers like Heena Hotchandani, Suraksha Kotte among others. Here is a look at the entire 15-player UAE Women’s squad for the 2026 Women’s Asia Cup at home.

Esha Oza (c), Archara Supriya, Heena Hotchandani, Indhuja Nandakumar, Janani Thirukkumaran, Lavanya Keny, Mehul Kulkarni, Rinitha Rajith, Samaira Dharnidharka, Siya Gokhale, Sashikala Silva, Suraksha Kotte, Theertha Satish (wk), Uttara Iyer and Vaishnave Mahesh.

What are the changes made by UAE squad for Asia Cup 2026
The UAE Women’s cricket team recently featured in the 2026 ACC Women's Premier Cup in Malaysia back in June. Reaching the final of the 18-team T20I event, UAE lost to Thailand on the big day by six wickets.
As many as three players who did not feature in the Women’s Premier Cup have been selected in the UAE squad for the Women’s Asia Cup 2026. They are Archara Supriya, Siya Gokhale and Uttara Iyer.
While Archara last played for UAE back in September 2024 in Namibia and will be making her return after a gap of nearly two years, Mumbai-born Siya Gokhale last played in February this year during the Women’s Asia Cup Rising Stars 2026 in Bangkok. Uncapped Uttara Iyer, meanwhile, will start out as a potential debutant this Asia Cup 2026.
What is Esha Oza’s record as captain?
Esha Oza has been leading the UAE Women’s cricket team in T20Is since 2023. She has so far led the national side in 54 T20I matches, yielding 37 wins against just 17 defeats.
Oza is also the most successful skipper in the history of UAE Women’s cricket, in terms of highest number of wins as well as in terms of winning percentage (68.51 percent).
UAE placed in Group B of Asia Cup 2026
The UAE Women’s cricket team is placed in Group B of the 2026 Women’s Asia Cup alongside Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Bangladesh.
Their opening match will be played against Sri Lanka on August 29. On September 4, the hosts will take on Indonesia and four days later, on September 8, Esha Oza and co. will face Bangladesh. All their matches will be hosted by the Dubai International Stadium in Dubai.
