For the fourth edition of the T20 Mumbai League 2026, franchises have locked in their core players before the auction. Star Indian players like Suryakumar Yadav and Shreyas Iyer have also featured in this list.
With the tournament set to begin on June 2, teams have retained three mandatory players each, laying the foundation for what promises to be a competitive season.
Suryakumar, Shreyas retained for the T20 Mumbai League 2026
Triumph Knights Mumbai North East have made a strong statement by retaining Suryakumar Yadav, along with Ayush Mhatre and Suryansh Shedge.
On the other hand, Sobo Mumbai Falcons have placed their faith in Shreyas Iyer, retaining him alongside Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Harsh Aghav.
Andheri Arcs, meanwhile, have opted for power and versatility, keeping Shivam Dube, Pragesh Kanpillewar, and Deepak Shetty in their core group.
Aakash Tigers, however, continue to back proven performers, retaining Sarfaraz Khan, Shams Mulani, and Jay Bista. Defending champions Mumbai South Central Maratha Royals have retained captain Siddhesh Lad, along with Rohan Raje and Irfan Umair, despite releasing pacer Tushar Deshpande.

Thane Eagles Strikers will once again rely on Shardul Thakur, supported by Atharva Ankolekar and Sairaj Patil, who was the standout performer last season.
Meanwhile, the North Mumbai Panthers have retained Ajinkya Rahane, Abhigyan Kundu and Tanush Kotian. Rahane, in particular, will be making his debut in the T20 Mumbai League 2026.
Bandra Blasters have signed Yashasvi Jaiswal. However, the opener is unlikely to be available for the season as he will be playing in a one-off Test between India and Afghanistan.
How did Shreyas Iyer, SKY, perform last season?
Meanwhile, Shreyas Iyer had an underwhelming season in the T20 Mumbai League last year as he scored 62 runs in 5 innings at a 12.4 average.
As for Suryakumar Yadav, he scored 122 runs in 4 innings at a 40.67 average and 158.44 strike rate. Chinmay Suthar was the leading run-scorer of the tournament with 271 runs in 7 games at a 54.2 average, including 3 fifties.
In the bowling department, Shashank Attarde picked 11 wickets in 6 games to become the leading wicket-taker of the T20 Mumbai League 2025 season.
T20 Mumbai League 2026 auction to take place soon
With the retentions now sealed, the auction for the T20 Mumbai League 2026 will take place on May 2, where franchises will complete their squads.
Mumbai South Central Maratha Royals will be defending champions as they beat the Sobo Mumbai Falcons in the T20 Mumbai League 2025 final.
Interestingly, the league will also introduce a women’s division this year. Around 363 women cricketers have signed up for the auction. So far, the fixtures of the new edition have not been announced.
