After Ajinkya Rahane opted to bat first, KKR were 25/2 in 3.4 overs, losing two hard-hitting overseas players Finn Allen and Cameron Green early in the innings.

Thanks to the Purple and Gold Brigade, rain came at Eden Gardens, and forced to interrupt the game. Punjab Kings, on the other hand, would not too be pleased with the interruption, as they were in control against Shreyas Iyer's former IPL franchise.

According to AccuWeather, there will be occasional showers in Kolkata during the KKR vs PBKS IPL 2026 match time. Currently, the temperature at Eden Gardens is around 28 degrees centigrade, with 78 per cent cloud Coverage.
