Talking further about the game, KKR and Punjab Kings enter their IPL 2026 clash at Eden Gardens on two different ends. KKR, who failed to qualify for the playoffs as defending champions in the 2025 season, have struggled to find momentum this year as well, despite revamping their squad. They have started IPL 2026 with back-to-back losses.
Punjab Kings, on the other hand, have carried forward the momentum from their 2025 campaign, having reached the final and retained 21 players from that squad.
