SRH captain Pat Cummins punished by BCCI

Pat Cummins has been fined by the BCCI for maintaining a slow over rate against Gujarat Titans in match number 56 of the IPL 2026 season. Under his leadership, the SRH franchise fell short in bowling out their overs within the allotted time at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

For breaching Article 2.22 of the IPL Code of Conduct, the legendary speedster was fined Rs. 12 lakhs by the Indian board.

Sophie Molineux to lead Australia in T20 World Cup 2026

Cricket Australia has unveiled a strong 15-player squad for the Australia Women’s team for the upcoming 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England. Sophie Molineux will continue to lead the national side, with Ashleigh Gardner serving as her deputy.

The team also includes multiple star attractions like Nicola Carey, Kim Garth, Georgia Voll, Georgia Wareham, Beth Mooney, Ellyse Perry, Annabel Sutherland among several others.

England name squad for 1st Test Vs NZ

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has announced a 15-member England squad for the upcoming first Test against New Zealand. Captain Ben Stokes is set to return to international cricket following his facial injury earlier this year.

Jofra Archer and Ollie Pope failed to find a place in the squad, and the group features several potential debutants in the form of Emilio Gay, Sonny Baker and James Rew.

Sarah Taylor named England men’s coach

Former England Women’s cricketer Sarah Taylor has been appointed as the fielding coach of the England men’s national side. Her first assignment as fielding coach will be England’s upcoming home Test series against the visiting New Zealand team in June.

She was appointed as a short-term replacement of Carl Hopkinson, who is currently in India for IPL 2026 duty with the Mumbai Indians franchise. It is worth noting that the 37-year-old was England’s World Cup winner from 2017.

ICC list warm-up schedule for T20 World Cup 2026

The ICC has listed the entire schedule of warm-up matches for the upcoming 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England. As per the itinerary, as many as four matches will be played on June 6, with Netherlands and Scotland playing the first game in Derby.

The Indian Women’s team is scheduled to play two matches before the big event, both in Cardiff on June 8 and June 10 against West Indies and hosts England respectively.
