Talented Pakistani pacer from Women’s team Aiman Anwer has called time on her international cricket career. This news was confirmed by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on August 26, 2026, on their official website.
This brings an end to Aiman’s career that began in 2016 and continued till 2023. During her decade-long career, Aiman Anwer represented the country in three T20 World Cups and the 2022 ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup.
Aiman Anwer brings down the curtain on her Pakistan career
Aiman Anwer, who represented Pakistan in eight ODIs and 37 T20Is between July 2016 and February 2023, announced his retirement from international cricket on Wednesday, according to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
In January 2010, she made her debut on the national cricket arena while playing for Karachi U19 in the PCB National U19 Women's Championship.
In July 2016, the right-arm medium-fast bowler became the 37th member of the Pakistani women's team to receive a T20I cap when she made her debut against England in Southampton. She took four wickets in the 50-over format after making her ODI debut against Bangladesh in Colombo in February 2017.
Aiman finished her 45-match Pakistani career with 33 international wickets across formats, including 29 in Twenty20 Internationals. Her final appearance for the national team came at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 in South Africa.

Life after cricket for Aiman Anwer
Aiman represented Pakistan Women in the 2018, 2020, and 2022–2023 Women's T20 World Cups. Additionally, she participated in Pakistan's 2022 ICC Women's Cricket World Cup campaign in New Zealand.
Aiman has continued to be active in the sport through broadcasting after leaving international cricket, and he has now started a new chapter as an official. After finishing her match-referee induction training in January of this year, she officiated her first match at the current National Women's U19 Tournament on Monday.
Over the course of her nearly seven-year international career, she played alongside some of Pakistan's top players and was a part of numerous significant periods in the country's women's cricket.
Pakistan women’s schedule for Women’s Asia Cup 2026
The Pakistan women's team will be seen in action in the upcoming ACC Women’s Asia Cup 2026. The eight-team tournament will be played from August 28 to September 13, 2026. The Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai will host the entire tournament.
The UAE qualified as the hosts, while Hong Kong, Indonesia, and Thailand qualified through the ACC Women's Premier Cup. India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka were direct competitors.
Bangladesh, Indonesia, the United Arab Emirates, and Sri Lanka are in Group B, while India, Hong Kong, Pakistan, and Thailand are in Group A. India's competition will begin on August 30 in Dubai against Thailand. After that, they will play Pakistan on September 5 and Hong Kong on September 3.
The tournament's final will take place in Dubai on September 13.
