The India vs Pakistan enmity is a never-ending cycle, especially on the grounds of cricket, and Pakistan batter Hasan Nawaz reiterated the same fact again. The premier top-order batter for the Men in Green straight away pointed out the hate for the Indian cricket team in a recent interview.
While Hasan Nawaz was playing the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2026 representing Quetta Gladiators, the young talent who has played 25 Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) for his country and only one against India, shared his hatred for Indian bowlers in a candid confession.
Hasan Nawaz Makes Ugly Confession Against India
Speaking to Qadir Khawaja, Nawaz was candid about his batting abilities and how impactful he is on the field with the bat in crunch situations. As the host of the interview asked him how he and other Pakistani batters deal with bowlers on the field and how he aims to punish bowlers, Nawaz was casual with his answer.
“When you look at the situation, if the required run rate is 10, 12, or 15, then no matter which bowler it is, you try to score runs against them. At this stage, everyone is world-class, so we go in with planning against all of them and don’t target just one bowler,” Nawaz said.
Nawaz Hates Indian Bowlers
Soon after that, the host asked whether there is any special world-class bowler or any player Hasan Nawaz wants to take on aggressively. Replying to this question, Hasan was intently aggressive against India as he sarcastically wanted to hit sixes and boundaries at them.
“India ek team hai of course jise hum sochte hai ki aj iss bowler ko maarna hai aur unke har ek bowler se nafrat hai. (The Indian team is there and of course we think that we have to attack this bowler; it’s a simple thing that we don’t like any of their bowlers and we want to punish them),” Nawaz shared.

Importantly, the Pakistan batter has played only one match against India in the Asia Cup 2025, where he scored only five runs from 7 deliveries before falling prey to India spinner Kuldeep Yadav.
Hasan Nawaz’s PSL 2026 Form
Meanwhile, Nawaz’s PSL 2026 form has been solid, though. He has been able to punish the bowlers in the Pakistan domestic league with his explosive 134.10 strike rate, while he is averaging 32.33 from the 10 appearances.
Although his last three outings were underwhelming with single-digit returns, he bagged two half-centuries in the tournament.
However, Nawaz will have to end his tournament on that note only because of the fact that the Gladiators have been eliminated after they bagged only 3 wins out of the 10 games they have played.
Nawaz Set To Wait For Pakistan Schedule
As of now, in Pakistan’s cricketing calendar, there’s no upcoming T20I game yet, with only Test matches scheduled till September 2026.
Hence, if Hasan Nawaz would like to make a comeback in the national jersey, he might have to wait for an opportunity until the end of the year or maybe earlier if PCB works on any new series before the end of the year.
