Hasan Nawaz, born on August 21, 2002, in Islamabad, Pakistan, is a right-handed batter and right-arm medium bowler, who has rapidly ascended the ranks of Pakistani cricket. He plays for the Islamabad Region, Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
After shining in the local tournaments and at the school level, Nawaz's domestic career commenced with his T20 debut on August 20, 2022. Playing for Northern Pakistan, against Sindh, he managed to score just 10 runs but the management knew his capabilities and gave me frequent chances.
Nawaz expanded his cricketing repertoire by making his List A debut on April 26, 2024, representing Pakistan Television against Khan Research Laboratories at Abbottabad in the Presidentās Cup. Unfortunately, he didnāt have a dream debut, opening the innings for the side he had to walk back to the pavilion after scoring just two runs.
He was only one step behind to be called an all-format player. Nawaz made his first-class debut for Pakistan Television against the State Bank of Pakistan in Karachi, on December 16, 2023. He scored a dazzling knock of 83 runs in the second innings of Pakistan Television.
Before being selected by Northern, Nawaz played for the Mirpur Royals in the Kashmir Premier League, where he was the second top-scorer. His performances in the KPL showcased his potential and earned him a spot in Northern's squad for the 2022ā23 National T20 Cup.
Hasan Nawaz was picked by the Quetta Gladiators, in the 2025 PSL auction, reflecting the franchise's recognition of his talent and potential to contribute significantly to their campaign.
His top-order batting role requires a blend of aggression and stability, qualities that he has been developing throughout his domestic career. With a solid foundation built in his early years and valuable experiences gained with teams like Mirpur Royals and Quetta Gladiators, Hasan is poised for further success.
