But you also have to create the right atmosphere for those players.”Shehzad also wants the Mohsin Naqvi-led PCB to identify Pakistan’s core problems and prepare the pitches in domestic tournaments accordingly. Implying that the Pakistan team tends to struggle overseas, the former cricketer wants the Mohsin Naqvi and PCB to prepare pace-friendly surfaces, which will not only assist Pakistan bowlers, but will also prepare batters before going on away tours.He said “The first thing you have to look at is where your national team is struggling. Pakistan struggle on slightly quicker pitches where there is some lateral movement. That is where their technique gets exposed.”Ahmed Shehzad added “So you should prepare pitches that offer some support to the bowlers. Your batters will then learn how to cope with those conditions and how to play in them. Let them make their mistakes at this level and work on them here, because there is less pressure.”Pakistan continues to struggle on overseas toursCompatible to Ahmed Shehzad’s claims, the Pakistan cricket team has been struggling to put up a spirited performance on overseas tours.Just recently, under the leadership of Babar Azam, Pakistan lost the three-match Test series in England by a 0-3 margin. In the first two matches of the series, the team failed to register a single total in excess of 200.Pakistan also failed to win its two-match series in West Indies a couple of months ago, as they returned with a 1-1 result.
